Simon Wiesenthal was born December 31, 1908 in Buczacz, Kingdom of Galicia, Austria-Hungary (now known as Buchach, Ukraine). He is a Holocaust survivor of several concentration camps and the death march to Chemnitz. After the war he was a famous Nazi hunter, and played a small role in locating Adolf Eichmann.
